The Saucy Sailor | Our Story

A Little Family. A Lot of Sauce.
We're Peter and Daphne White, and the little guy in the photo is our son Kanon. Together, we built The Saucy Sailor in Kingston, Washington, steps from the ferry dock. We believe a busy day is no excuse for a forgettable dinner. So we brought home-cooked flavors, fast service, and a proper family welcome to one little kitchen. Come hungry. We'll take it from there.
All in the Family. All About the Food.
We didn't just build a business; we built a life. Food and family share the spotlight in our Kingston kitchen, and we wouldn't have it any other way. That personal touch goes into the dishes we share and the welcome you get. Regular visitor or first-time wanderer, there's always room for another food lover in this crew.
Fast Service. No Funny Business With Flavor.
Your schedule may be packed. Your dinner should still be a pleasure. We put thoughtful preparation behind gourmet comfort food, then serve it with the speed your day demands. Eat now or explore freezer-friendly options for later. Future you has excellent taste.

Proper British Comfort. A Taste for Adventure.
Cottage pie. Bangers and mash. British comfort knows a thing or two about making your day. But our appetite doesn't stop at the classics. Thai green curry brings a different kind of adventure to the Kingston menu. Stay loyal to your favorite or have a little food fling.

More Choices. Just as Much Sauce.
Vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free choices get a seat at this table, too. Because wanting options shouldn't mean giving up on comfort food. Check the current dish labels and speak with us about ingredients before ordering. Our kitchen may contain nuts, gluten, and other allergens, so dietary labels are not a guarantee against cross-contact.

Kingston, You've Got Good Taste.
We've dropped anchor in downtown Kingston, close to the Edmonds–Kingston ferry dock. Locals on lunch breaks, ferry travelers, Kitsap explorers: you're our kind of crew. Whether you're passing through or practically a neighbor, take a little comfort food along. Adventure is better on a full stomach.
